Brandon Stanton who is the brains and cameraman for Humans of New York, started a GoFundMe to raise money for Housing for refugees in Rohingya and raised 1million dollars in just 4 days.
The money will be used to fund the housing projects from Myanmar to Bangladesh. Each house is reported to cost $630 for a family of 6 and families will be housed on based on their status with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to assess vulnerability.  The houses are made of bamboo and have two bedrooms, which will allow a small degree of privacy and dignity for large families. Each house has a  kitchen area and although these things sound relatively simple but given the circumstances these families are coming from it  represents a huge leap in comfort and security.
